Before moving to Brooklyn, NY from Oakland, CA, Roopa Singh taught at every
correctional facility in the Bay Area, worked as a legal journalist in the
United States Supreme Court, and trained as a teenage labor organizer with
SEIU. Currently, Roopa is an award winning Adjunct Professor
of Politics, Hip Hop, and Culture at Pace University. When she's not performing
or teaching or riding her big blue bike through BK streets, Roopa is a
freelance journalist, workshop facilitator, and communications consultant for We Got Issues! and the Center for Media
Justice.
